Dr. Tammy Stevenson is a native of Cedar Falls, having grown up on a farm North of Cedar Falls. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and then attended Iowa State University. She received her BS in Animal Science with a Minor in Fisheries and Wildlife Behavior and graduated with honors. After graduation she continued on at Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine and received her DVM from ISU in 2000. After graduation, she moved to Rockford, Illinois and practiced for 5 years. While in Rockford, she also served as the Winnebago County Animal Shelter Veterinarian.
Dr. Stevenson also served as a veterinarian in the US Army Reserves. She was an officer with the 719th Medical Detachment (Veterinary Services), Ft. Sheridan, Illinois. In 2003 she deployed with her unit to the Middle East for Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. She practices Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, a form of Veterinary Chiropractic care on dogs and cats as well. Dr. Stevenson is married, has 2 children and lives on her family farm with horses, miniature donkeys, chickens, and two dogs.
