Prevention of Lyme Disease in Dogs Month
Lyme disease can be tricky to diagnose, which is why prevention is key!
The best way to protect your dog is by avoiding tick bites altogether.
Does your dog have the Lyme disease vaccine?
Are they on their monthly flea & tick medicine?
Lyme disease often goes unnoticed, as many dogs may appear completely healthy without any symptoms. However, if your dog does become ill, the disease can show up 2-5 months after infection. By then, it could have spread throughout the body.
Make sure your dog is vaccinated and on a regular flea & tick preventative plan.
Don’t forget to test for Lyme disease and heartworm annually!
Early detection is key to a better outcome. Protect your furry friend!
